Hey what's up? How was your week? I hope everything went just perfect for you. Another relaxing week for me, sparing time with people I love, my friends and relatives. I also played some matches at my FM season and of course I spared some time hanging out. The last posts contain center back info. This week I will add one more piece in the center back puzzle. Let's start then.

Last time, I wrote about defending and covering. But your defenders duties doesn't stop here. At modern football, players have many "missions" in the field. These missions can dictate the way your team plays. A defender can be central defender, ball-playing defender or limited defender. A center back  is the person who will simply try to stop attackers, clear the ball and if possible pass the ball forward. However, his basic responsibility is to clear the ball. The limited defender is an even more limited. He will win the ball and he will send the ball away, he won't try to pass it forward. I hate when this happens, but sometimes is essential with less talented defenders. The ball-playing defender is a unique defending role and a really interesting topic. I will write thoroughly about it next week.

I will analyze center back roles next time. I am looking forward to reading your comments and success stories. Have fun playing FM 2012.

See you soon,

Hey, is everything all right? I hope that everything is fine. Today is a really special day for me. Our favorite blog is 3-months old. Thanks for the companion FM mates. My week was really quiet and everything went well. I spent some time playing my truck games and I got a Champions League trophy in my FM season. Today, I will add some extra info for your defense work.

In last post I mentioned the need to use defender with different abilities in order to make attackers' work hard. But you can add some extra options, making your defense an undefeated fort. You, as a manager can dictate the role of each defender in the field. You can choose a defender's exact role, for example you can turn a center back to sweeper. You can also choose his duties. In other words, if he simply defend, cover another teammate, etc. Think the following scenario. You have a really good, but irresponsible defender and a slow defender as a partner. You can put the irresponsible defender to defend first and the slow defend will act as cover. For well, balanced players a more simple Defend/Defend choice may be what you need. Two center backs in a row, who will defend efficiently. Simplicity is the way to go sometimes!

I will analyze center back roles next time. I am looking forward to reading your comments and success stories. Have fun playing FM 2012.

Dear friends, how's it going? I hope everything goes great. Recently, I first played Wii. I thought it was a waste of time. But when I started to play boxing for fun. I realised how tough it was and I really enjoyed. I came home and started search anything had to do with boxing. As a result, I found and played some boxing games. It was a nice week full of punches.

Last time I was writing about defensive work and center backs. I would like to add some extra info here. I analyzed the key attributes in a center back. But centre backs are at least two. How I will put them in the right role and get the most out of both them?

Always look for center backs, with good skills. That's the base. For right center back cooperation now, you should always look for balance. It is really rare to find two players with no weaknesses. All players have different skills and weaknesses. Each center back should cover the weaknesses of the other. For example, a slow center back should always have a really quick center back to cover his teammate. A center back with low strength attribute, should have a really strong player next to him. A tall guy with a shorter one and so goes on.

Cooperation and the right choice of center backs is the recipe for success. I am looking forward to reading your comments and success stories. Have fun playing FM 2012.

Hello people, how are you? I hope this week was great for you. For me this week was great. Many great Champions League and Europa League matches and good company. I played some online truck games and this cool week was brilliant. What else should I ask?
It is said that offense sells tickets, defense wins championships. In other words, a successful team is based on good defensive work. Think that you can get a point, when you don't concede a goal. Defense is not some players' duty. Everyone should help. Nevertheless, the most crucial part in a defensive plan is the center backs. But what  makes a center back great?
It is obvious that high marking and tackling abilities are a must. These abilities will make your player win most 1 vs 1 situations, pressuring the opponent tight and denying space efficiently. Of course physical attributes, like acceleration and strength, can be the difference between a top class player and a national reputation player.
All these are useless though, if you can understand and predict each situation. Judgement is crucial. As a result, intelligence, decisions, anticipation and of course concentration are even more important than everything mentioned above. Last, but not least is the teamwork of your center backs.
A defender with these characteristics will demonstrate his great abilities constantly, covering holes and correcting teammates' mistakes. I am looking forward to reading your comments and success stories. Have fun playing FM 2012.

I am in the second week of my exams. Nightmare. I have to fight my urge to tennis games and focus exclusively to studies, but it is impossible. In the past posts, I wrote about the attributes a goalkeeper should have. And now I have a dilemma for you. David de Gea vs Marc-Andre ter Stegen? Who is better?

These 2 guys are the best young goalkeepers. Ter Stegen is German, 19 years old and plays for Gladbach. He has 4.8M price tag and he earns 13.5K. The other contender, David De Gea, is Spanish, 20 years old and he is a Manchester United player. His price is 27.5M and is paid with 80K. In terms of PA and CA De Gea is better, but is he a value for money choice? And how he acts in game?

De Gea is godly on this game. I wouldn't replace him with anyone, especially when he gets older and his stats go up. He has: Aerial ability: 17, Command of Area: 20, Communication: 15, Handling: 17, One on ones: 15, Reflexes: 17 and Jumping: 17. Ter Stegen has: Aerial ability: 12, Command of Area: 15, Communication: 16, Handling: 11, One on ones: 13, Reflexes: 14 and Jumping: 16. Ter Stegen has worst stats OK, but in the end he develops to a bit worse keeper than De Gea. Even at his early stages, he's quite reliable and pulls of some wonder saves. And the money you should pay? De Gea would finally cost you more than 70M, while I got ter Stegen with 10.

All in all De Gea is better, but ter Stegen it the best value for money buy! I am looking forward to reading your comments and success stories.

I was really stressed this week. University exams have already started, but I am back with you again. I played the best online Truck games, I chilled out and now I am ready for action. Today, I intend to complete my guide on how to choose the right keeper to defend your posts.

One on Ones is the most important ability in my eyes. One on ones ability shows how well your keeper reacts when he comes face to face with the opponent striker. There are many aspects which will affect his reactions. Of course Reflexes, in order to make this instinctive reaction you need in such a difficult situation. Rushing out and Bravery skills in order to close down the attacker correctly and bravely, Anticipation and Decisions so that he will choose the right moment in the right time.Acceleration, Balance and Pace are also important.

The next one is the Reflexes, in other words the way your goalkeeper instinctively react to shots. Positioning and Anticipation are important for your goalkeeper so that he takes the right position and waits for any possibly attacking move.

Rushing Out is the last one and shows how efficiently your keeper leaves his line to cut crosses and through balls. Great related attributes are One on Ones, Decisions and Bravery skills in order to cope correctly and bravely in one on one situations. Reflexes in order to make instinctive reactions in difficult situations. Acceleration, Balance and Pace are some physical skills you should surely think about before choosing the best keeper choice.

I am looking forward to reading your comments and success stories.

After a week away, playing my favourite online games at http://www.diegogames.com, I am finally back. Last time, I write about some basic goalkeeping skills and their importance. We mentioned Command of Area and Aerial Ability. I will analyze some more today.

Communication is obvious that refers to your goalkeeper's relation with his defenders. A goalkeeper with high communication skills will stabilize your defense and will organize it in the most efficient way. Eccentricity skills show how "crazy" is your goalkeeper. A goalkeeper with high eccentricity skills will try to dribble the opponents or try some risky actions or getting away for his area.

Handling skill show how well your goalkeeper catches the ball. This skill is really important because a bad handling reaction can give second attacking chances, or worse easy one-on-one chances. Kicking ability shows how far your goalkeeper sends the ball. Creativity, decisions, passing and technique will determine the accuracy of the kick, but sadly there are no visible attributes for goalkeepers.

Tendency to punch and throwing are another two goalkeeping skills. Throwing skill shows how accurate are a goalkeeper's hands. In other words, how well he passes by hand to his teammates. Decisions and strength play a particular role here. A good throw needs the right decision and power to be achieved. Tendency to punch shows how often your keeper chooses to punch an aerial ball away or to catch it.

I am looking forward to reading your comments and success stories.

I play Football online, this is something we all know. In order to compete and get some wins I need a really good goalkeeper. Goalkeeper is the more crucial position in football. As FM12 is the most realistic football simulator cannot be excluded. One mistake can be the difference between 1st and 2nd position. You need a great keeper to achieve your goals. But what makes a good keeper?

Fm 2012 goalkeeping attributes consist of 14 skills, but 11 are really essential. They are Aerial Ability, Command of Area, Communication, Eccentricity, Handling, Kicking, One on Ones, Reflexes, Rushing Out, Tendency to Punch and Throwing.

Aerial Ability shows how he performs when the ball is in the air. In other words, how high he can extend his body to catch the ball. It is similar to jumping attribute for the other players. To get the most out of aerial ability, your goalkeeper should have good command of area and handling goalkeeping skills combined with concentration, bravery, positioning and decisions mental skills.

Command of Area ability shows how often your goalkeeper will leave his goalposts in order to cut an aerial ball. Some related attributes are Handling in order your goalkeeper has "safe hands" when he attempts to claim high balls and anticipation to guess right how the opponents and his defenders will act. Other serious parameters which reflect how well you goalkeeper commands his area, are positioning and decisions. If a goalkeeper is in wrong position or make wrong ball estimation, how possible is to make a mistake?

I am looking forward to reading your comments and success stories.

I will be sincere with you. The past three days I spent my time playing some online sports games. What a beautiful way to spend your time! Sorry for straying off topic.
In last post, I mentioned the basics on producing talents from our youth academies. We built our first generation homegrown team, we expanded our facilities, we hired both youth and senior coaches. We overvalued and sold some of our players and make our team more famous. And now what? We will step a little further today.

We sold some players and made some money. Invest these money again on both youth and senior facilities. Hire better coaches, whether you can. Time to expand to a different object. Search for the best possible scouters. As I mentioned earlier, in the search of coaches, chase the best scouters, giving as much money as needed. Prefer scouters with North America counties knowledge (I will write more at the near future). Send them to North America for search.

The players you sold left uncovered positions. The production all these years gave you more young, skilled players. Add them to the senior squad. You produce the 2nd talent generation of your team. The time passes, blah, blah, blah. You should choose if you need these new players to build a long-term squad or are you going to sell the 2nd generation and produce (and sell) the 3rd, 4th, etc. The money you will get, invest them again and again as I wrote above.

Time for some buys, isn’t it? Invest all the remaining money to one or two real good talent. That’s the reason you sent the scouters to North America, right? Expand your knowledge to more regions and nations, as you have more money in your “wallet”.

That’s the whole idea, I personally tried. I hope to be as more informative as possible.

I am looking forward to reading your comments and success stories.

After some days off, playing my favourite online games I am back again. Have you ever wondered how to turn a small, local team to a lucrative, world-known team. It is really difficult and needs time, but it is something you can do. The easiest way, in my view, is to stop buying overrated or 35+ years old players. You have to start produce your homegrown players. Today I will share with you my plan.
In early stages, you should start investing as much money as possible on junior coaching, youth recruitment, youth facilities. You are thinking “Ok, youth facilities and coaches are important, but why is youth recruitment so important?”. Youth recruitment network controls the number of youth candidates you get. High PA youngsters has a bit of randomness. So, more candidates tested equals more possibilities to reveal the next world star.
Some time have already passed. Children have turned to men. How these talents you produced will continue to develop when they are first team members? Your next step is to give money to expand your senior facilities at the highest possible level. The better the coaching, the higher the CA. Look for the best coaches. Chase the best ones, giving as much money as needed.
Time never stops. Some additional years have passed. Your talents turned to key players. These players turned your small team to a bigger one. Proposals from bigger clubs have arrived. Sell your players at the highest possible price. The reputation you got from them is important. They leave the team, a step higher. The higher the reputation of your club, better youngsters will come to test at your club.
That’s all for today folks. I will continue my strategy in the next post.
I am looking forward to reading your comments.
