Hey what's up? How was your week? I hope everything went just perfect for you. Another relaxing week for me, sparing time with people I love, my friends and relatives. I also played some matches at my FM season and of course I spared some time hanging out. The last posts contain center back info. This week I will add one more piece in the center back puzzle. Let's start then.

Last time, I wrote about defending and covering. But your defenders duties doesn't stop here. At modern football, players have many "missions" in the field. These missions can dictate the way your team plays. A defender can be central defender, ball-playing defender or limited defender. A center back  is the person who will simply try to stop attackers, clear the ball and if possible pass the ball forward. However, his basic responsibility is to clear the ball. The limited defender is an even more limited. He will win the ball and he will send the ball away, he won't try to pass it forward. I hate when this happens, but sometimes is essential with less talented defenders. The ball-playing defender is a unique defending role and a really interesting topic. I will write thoroughly about it next week.

I will analyze center back roles next time. I am looking forward to reading your comments and success stories. Have fun playing FM 2012.

See you soon,

Thanos
