In the past posts, I wrote about the attributes a goalkeeper should have. And now I have a dilemma for you. David de Gea vs Marc-Andre ter Stegen? Who is better?
These 2 guys are the best young goalkeepers. Ter Stegen is German, 19 years old and plays for Gladbach. He has 4.8M price tag and he earns 13.5K. The other contender, David De Gea, is Spanish, 20 years old and he is a Manchester United player. His price is 27.5M and is paid with 80K. In terms of PA and CA De Gea is better, but is he a value for money choice? And how he acts in game?
De Gea is godly on this game. I wouldn't replace him with anyone, especially when he gets older and his stats go up. He has: Aerial ability: 17, Command of Area: 20, Communication: 15, Handling: 17, One on ones: 15, Reflexes: 17 and Jumping: 17. Ter Stegen has: Aerial ability: 12, Command of Area: 15, Communication: 16, Handling: 11, One on ones: 13, Reflexes: 14 and Jumping: 16. Ter Stegen has worst stats OK, but in the end he develops to a bit worse keeper than De Gea. Even at his early stages, he's quite reliable and pulls of some wonder saves. And the money you should pay? De Gea would finally cost you more than 70M, while I got ter Stegen with 10.
All in all De Gea is better, but ter Stegen it the best value for money buy! I am looking forward to reading your comments and success stories.
